Ear Piercing Policy

At Lizzy Lee & Me, our goal is to make ear piercing a safe, positive, and empowering experience for every child. The following policy helps ensure that the process is comfortable, hygienic, and respectful of each child’s readiness.

 

Certified Piercers

All ear piercings are performed by two certified piercers simultaneously. This allows both ears to be pierced at the same time, helping to create a quicker, more comfortable experience for the child.

 

Earrings & Equipment

We use pre-sealed, medical-grade hypoallergenic earrings from Inverness, a trusted industry leader in safe ear piercing systems.

Each pair of earrings arrives individually sealed and sterile and is opened in front of the client at the time of the service.

 

Pricing

We do not charge for the piercing service itself.
The cost of the appointment is for the earrings only.

 

Consent-Based Piercing

We practice consent-based ear piercing.

This means we will only proceed when the child clearly indicates they are ready by giving either:

• A verbal “yes”, or
• A physical thumbs-up

 

If a child changes their mind or does not give consent, we will not proceed with the piercing.

 

Aftercare

Every client will receive:

• Detailed aftercare instructions, and
• Ear care cleansing solution for proper cleaning during the healing period.

Our team will review all aftercare steps to ensure parents and children feel confident caring for their new piercings.

 

If a Child Isn’t Ready

We completely understand that sometimes children decide they are not ready once they arrive.

For hygiene and safety reasons, once the sterile earring package has been opened and loaded into the piercing instruments, the earrings can no longer be reused or returned.

If the child decides not to proceed after the package has been opened:

• The earrings must still be purchased, and
• The family will keep the earrings.

 

You are welcome to return at any time with those earrings, and we will complete the piercing at no additional cost.
